More Great Information on Mamas Girl:

Jessica Simpson Sees Herself in a Leopard Print Hospital Gown (lilsugar?format=xml)

Jessica Simpson's seeing spots! The expectant mama is counting down the days
until she gives birth to a baby girl, and she seems to be having some wild
pregnancy dreams. Yesterday Jessica tweeted, "I just woke up from a dream that
I wore a leopard caftan in the hospital. Fabulous!! Now I need to find one!"

While a caftan may not be the most appropriate clothing choice for the
hospital, Jessica doesn't have to settle for the standard gown while giving
birth. Many birthing mamas choose to wear privately made labor and delivery
gowns that help reflect their own sense of style. We found an animal print
version that could easily suit Jessica's needs, but there are plenty more
options available, too. Take a look and then tell us - what did you wear in
the delivery room?

Soon to be mommy of TWO!?

I have an 18 month old and just found out yesterday that my Hubby and I are finally pregnant!! I am excited, don't get me wrong...but I got to thinking though, how will my daughter feel? I mean she is an angel but she is a very needy mamas girl, how will she cope with a new baby in 8 months? She will be 2 when the new one arrives...she LOVES other children but if I give another child attention or even my husband she starts screaming and pushing them. Is there any way I can start doing things to help her be able to cope? I know she will love being a big sister and I will have to keep a close eye on her around the new baby...I have seen her with our two baby rabits and lets just say I am those rabits heros. Any advice?

I would recommend you get her a baby doll, and a little pushchair. You can then encourage her to look after her dolly and be gentle with her dolly. Talk to her at every possible opportunity about babies and how lovely they are and about the things you have to do with babies. Show her lots of pictures, read stories about baby brothers or sisters. Keep telling her how much you love her and encourage her to kiss your bump when you get one. I had exactly a two year age gap between #1 and #2, and I was surprised at how much my two year old understood by the time #2 was due to be born. I would also advise that you start encouraging your hubby to spend more time with your daughter, as after birth he will be doing alot of the things she is used to you doing, at least for a while anyway. Try and keep her routine the same and if possible let daddy take her out on a special trip or two after the baby is born. Also a good thing to do to help avoid jealousy is to make sure visitors make a big fuss of her after the birth before the say hello to #2. Ask them if they are going to bring gifts for the new baby to also bring a small gift for your daughter. And if you can buy a gift from baby bro or sis for your daughter. She will adjust and hopefully as the age gap is reasonably small she shouldn't suffer with jealousy. Be warned though even though we did all this our older child would occasionally smack his sister out of frustration. It would mostly happen when she was crying and he couldn't stop her. He would go up to her and gently stroke her or try and give her a toy but then if she continued he would smack her. This didn't last long and it may be that it was partly because he was a boy. Either way we just calmly explained that he musn't do that and it stopped very quickly. The other thing you may find her doing if you turn your back for two seconds is she may try and change the babys nappy or clothing, thats quite harmless and sweet so you can involve her when you are there to supervise. Ask her to get you a nappy or wipes, a clean vest that kind of thing. She may really enjoy feeling involved and important. Good Luck anyway and CONGRATS!
