Where are all the Depression Glass collectors?
Now that I've inherited mom's enormous collection of DG, I'm having trouble selling it. When my mom was collecting it in the 1970's, it seemed everyone was. It was competitive and the glass was on the pricey side of the low-end collectibles. I remember her making a 100 mile round-trip to buy a luncheon set of green "No. 612" (a.k.a, "Horseshoe") she heard advertised on radio's "Swap Shop". She paid $300 for it in 1976. Going by that price, that would be over $1100 in today's dollars, but I know I won't be able to get that price! I can't even get $150 (half what she paid and about $40 at a 1976 value). I've advertised on Craig's List and Want Ad Digest as well as having my tag sales. I even hired a n Ebay trading assistant to put it up for sale a few years ago, but nary a nibble. People just don't seem interested anymore. What's going on?
I have also noticed a dip in interest in antiques.
I come from an antique/collectible family into reselling - meaning as a group we've done antique shows, better flea markets, ebay, etsy, craigslist, even a share in a store for a while.
Even before the economy tanked I noticed that there seemed to be less interest in antiques and collectibles...and then after the economy tanked I noticed a huge drop in interest..probably in great part due to collecting has to do with disposable income that we all have less of now. During the tanking of the economy I was still out going to yard and estate sales, and because I drive a truck I had sellers offering me lovely antique furniture for free, just to get it out of their yards! They'd see me pull up and their eyes would light up...I got some great stuff free and cheap, but then the house got full (I'm actually in the process of de-stuffing {again...!} right now).

My suggestion would be to just store this stuff for a while, but it sounds like you've already done that. Ebay has changed dramatically over the last years and I no longer sell or buy there...etsy is a growing market, much easier than ebay, has a vintage section and you could try that.
I guess your options are sell it cheap, or put it back into storage, don't think about it for a while and wait for the cultural interest in antiques to cycle back up. You could also offer it to other family members if anyone is interested.
I used to have a fair amount of depression glass myself, but have evolved into using more sturdy and basic pieces and only kept a few bits of my favorite stuff.
