instead of the plain grey, there are thick strips of white and grey going down the cardigan horizontally, also it is in a knitted fashion, (as in it isn't a solid fabric, it has holes from being knitted)

Try this -
Wear a solid color shirt underneath it in a bright color so that it will contrast with the darker colors on the sweater. Don't wear a white shirt though, cause it will clash with the white on the sweater. Don't wear too many accessories, just a few bracelets, medium-large sized earrings, and maybe a pair of large white sunglasses to really make it cute! You should pair the sweater with eiither a jean skirt or dark wash jeans (skinny or not). Also wear some flats or black converse.
You could also wear your hair up in a sloppy bun or a curly ponytail.
