Frankie Sandford opens up about her battle with depression... (Mr Paparazzi)
You may remember six months ago the pop star took time out of The Saturdays
due to an illness.
At the time no one was entirely sure what this illness was, but now for the
first time Frankie has opened up about her secret battle with depression.
Frankie reveals that she has battled negative thoughts and panic attacks since
the age of 15 but it wasn’t until last October that things got really bad,
leading to her being hospitalised.
Speaking in the May issue of Glamour magazine, Frankie is feeling positive
about the future but she realises that 'no one is 100 per cent happy all of
the time'.
She recalls what happened last year: 'One night, I got upset because Wayne
hadn't bought the right yoghurts. I manage to convince myself he didn't know
me at all.
'It set off this spiral of negative thinking – that if I disappeared, it
wouldn’t matter to anyone. In fact, it would make everybody’s life easier. I
felt that I was worthless, that I was ugly, that I didn’t deserve anything.'
At the time her doctor recommend she take a quiet break in the Cotswolds with
her footballer boyfriend ...
I'm applying to university again, but will this lower my chances of getting in? will it be held against me?

I applying to university this year. I decided to take a gap year and I'm working as a carer, in a hospital, charity shop and taking another A-Level part-time course at college.
The thing is will the universities reject me? Because if I didn't get into university this year, they might turn and tell me something like "you didn't get last year, so what makes you think you'll get this year?"
I mean, I'm I just being stupid, because I'm worrying. Lol, thank you
No not at all, I think they'll find what you did with your gap year very interesting. Be sure to have a good answer prepared for the following questions though:
Why did you take a gap year?
Why are you applying to this university again?
What did you learn from your gap year?
As long as your prepared for those then you will have a good chance of getting in
