Crochet Help!?
So im trying to crohet a patchwork (all hexagons) Afghan Throw and im a little confused by this particular part of the instructions. This is were im stuck:
Rep the last row, AT THE SAME TIME increasing 1 st, by working 2 sts into 1 st, at each end of next and alt row until there are 38sc. Work one row
So what i took that as saying is, i repeat the row that i just did but at the end of it i make two sc into the last sc and then i turn and make another row but then i dont do two sc in the last sc and then i turn again and in the end of that row i do two in the last sc? so am i doing two sc in the last sc every other row? wouldnt that make only one side of my hexagon getting larger? it should be both sides getting larger and then getting smaller
1. Repeat your last row.
2. Turn your work. Increase 1 st at the beginning and ending of your row.
3. Work the next row without increasing at the beginning or ending.
4. Next row, do the increasing at beginning and ending of the row.
5. Next row, work without increasing.
6 Alternate 1 row increasing, and the next row no increasing.
7. When you get 38 sc stitches completed, work one more row without increasing.
8. Carry on with the pattern instructions, which I assume will be decreasing to complete the hexagon.
If I'm right, you'll decrease on each end of the row, and work one row without decreasing. and so on until you get down to 1 stitch, or whatever it was you started with.
