Crochet: changing colors/yarn question?
Okay so I'm planning to make my first multi-colored afghan, it will just be a standard ripple. But I'm confused about changing colors. After I change, what do I do with the tail of the old color? Someone told me to just weave it into the afghan but wouldn't that disrupt the pattern and if it gets yanked that would not be good.
Hold it along the tops of the stitches of the previous row and as you work the new stitches in the new color, simply wrap the new stitch around both the top of the previous row's stitch AND the tail at the same time. It will be secured and masked by being covered by the new stitches of the same color.
